Celeste Terrell

Celeste TerrellCeleste Terrell, born and raised in Louisiana, briefly became a Yankee when she moved to Boston to attend the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. She became a personal chef and taught cooking classes through her business, Olives and Herbs. Even after two years of hard work in food service and much success, she never lost the desire to pursue music and so…here it goes: “I’ve been in love with music since I was 2 and my mother had to drag me away from the bar room jukebox in a pizza joint known as Tom’s. The bar patrons (dirty old men) couldn’t resist feeding the Wurlitzer machine more quarters to make my little tushie shake and my strawberry blonde hair swing.”

Celeste has come a long way since her adolescent displays of talent, and is now one of Houston’s premiere performing singer-songwriters.  Her debut album, Live Your Dreams, has been highly anticipated by the local community.  This native Louisianian has been known for her moving performances that both strike a chord and make you want to tap your feet.  Not only does she grip you vocally, but her guitar prowess has commanded a lot of attention from many!  Celeste has been compared vocally to Wynonna Judd, KT Tunstall and Brandi Carlile.  She draws on her 50’s and 60’s soul music roots to blend with a little country and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

“Celeste Terrell has music that will move you. It’s warm, inviting and draws you in. Keep an eye on Terrell because she is a rising star!” – Madalyn Sklar, GoGirlsMusic.com

Live Your Dreams “is melodically solid, with the right kind of instrumentation and dynamic structure and an assured vocal performance… this one is mostly ready for prime-time.” – Gary Graff,  UPI, the New York Times Features Syndicate, Billboard and Revolver. Series editor of the MusicHound Essential Album Guide books and the author of The Ties That Bind: Bruce Springsteen A to E to Z.
